Youth Ministry

Children's Ministries

Nursery

Our nursery offers a quiet room for parents with newborns and infants, a large age-appropriate play area for babies and toddlers, and an area for preschool lessons. Children hear Bible stories and learn about sharing and loving behavior. Our loving and qualified caregivers are screened and approved to work with young children and are trained in child safety procedures.

Children's Church

Our children's worship program is offered during the morning service twice a month. On the alternating weeks, "Busy Bags" will be provided with Bible story coloring pages and other educational and fun materials.

Bible Quizzing

Bible quizzing is a ministry of the Free Methodist Church that combines Bible study and Christian competition for youth in grades 6-12. The purpose is to establish youth in their faith through the systematic study, application, and memorization of the Word of God. At weekly practices, coaches strive to balance the three main components of quizzing: learning and applying the Bible, having fun and fellowship, and practicing to compete with other churches. Teams of three teens quiz against teams from other churches at monthly conference or regional tournaments by jumping off electronic chairs to earn the opportunity to answer questions about a certain book of the Bible. Each year selected books of the New Testament (NIV) are studied throughout the school year, and the season culminates with National Bible Quiz Finals held at a Free Methodist college.

For more photos and general information about quizzing, please see the Free Methodist Bible Quizzing website. For study aids and additional quiz materials, go to Acme Quiz Products.

Youth Group

Youth Group meets twice a month. Our first meeting is on the first Friday of each month at the Beechwood Community House (296 Rosewood Terrace, Rochester 14609) from 6:30pm - 8 pm. Join in an evening of real talk as we discuss issues that affect youth today including media literacy, family relationships, evangelism, the truth of the Bible, and more! On the third Friday of every month, join in a Game Night hosted by New Hope at our church building (62 N. Union St, Rochester 14607) from 6:30pm- 8 pm as well. Play games, bring a snack to share, and enjoy hanging out with friends!

Please text or call Kim at (585)370-8492 if you need a ride to attend any of these events. You will need to let her know by the Wednesday before if you need a ride so there is time to get things arranged.
