What is RAIHN? It is a not-for-profit, interfaith, culturally-competent organization that assists homeless families to achieve sustainable independence by supporting them with tailored services including shelter, food, personalized case management, and a diverse network of caring volunteers.
In 2017, RAIHN served 33 families, providing housing for an average of 43 days. Over half (61%) of the families are employed or are in school. The majority of the families (82%) have graduated into permanent housing. All families are provided opportunities for aftercare to help them stay in permanent housing.
New Hope partners with RAIHN as a hosting congregation, providing a home atmosphere for the evenings and overnights.
In 2018, we will also be hosting May 6-13, August 12-19, and November 18-25. Have you signed up to volunteer? We have shifts available for you to help. Please mark your calendars and begin to set aside time to show hospitality to those in need.
